This is my favorite photograph from 2008. Not because of the composition or any other related photo technique, but because of the memory and the story behind it. It was fitting this image was taken from behind. We watch our children grow, record the special moments in their lives and take them for granted. I don’t want them to grow up. Not now. I love them young, full of energy, building a strong bond as brothers and doing everything for the first time. I love the pitter-patter of their footsteps as they chase each other throughout the house. They drive me crazy, there is no rest…and I don’t ever want it to end.

As a family man I loved this photograph. Makes me wish snow was gone and I was heading to the lake with my family. Great capture of a memorable moment.

Very nice, nostalgia inducing shot. Especially considering I'm currently in Northern Michigan in the dead of winter. Makes me long for summers as a kid...

BTW I'm Tim Kamppinen on strobist, and my address is...

Sorry, that's a little crass... ;)

Great movement in this picture. You don't need any complicated lighting or lenses. Just pure childhood.

Love the picture Chris, love even more what your comment under the shot was . As a photographer and father of two as well ...I so would love stop the growing up process. I was at "Fathers visiting Day" at our kids school this past Friday and the teacher went around the room and asked all the dad's(sitting next to their kids) "What's the one thing you would love to stop in the world today" ....I'm sure you can guess most of the answers... Mine...wish my kids would stop growing !
Anyway ...beautiful photography....keep connected to those kids .
